Cookies and local storage
H1 Lingo does not use cookies for tracking, advertising or analytics. It saves your progress in your browser's local storage so the app can remember where you are.
1. What we store on your device
| Item | What it holds | Why | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
Local storage entry teanga-v6 | Your progress, settings, answers, saved corrections, Puffin chat history, and details you typed in | To run the app and save your progress between visits | Until you delete it |
We set no cookies of our own.
2. Why we do not ask for cookie consent
Storing information on your device normally needs your consent, except where it is strictly necessary to provide a service you have asked for (Irish ePrivacy rules, S.I. No. 336 of 2011). Saving your progress is strictly necessary for the study service you asked for, so no consent banner is needed. We still tell you about it here.
3. Third parties
- The app is hosted on claude.ai by Anthropic. The platform may use its own cookies or similar technologies, for example for security or sign-in. We do not control these. See Anthropic's cookie policy.
- If you open a past paper, your browser loads a PDF viewer library from the Cloudflare content delivery network (cdnjs). We do not add any cookies or tracking to this.
- The app does not load fonts, scripts or trackers from Google or any advertising or analytics company.
- Our website (h1lingo.com, not the app) uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits. It sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device, so it needs no consent banner.
4. How to delete or control it
- In the app: Me, then Privacy and data, then Delete my data on this device.
- In your browser: clear this site's data or local storage in your settings.
If you delete it, your progress is gone and we cannot restore it.
5. Changes and contact
We may update this notice. The version and date are at the top. Questions: Manuela Heinz and Padraig Heinz-Ward · hello@h1lingo.com. See also the Privacy Policy.
